International English language examinations – LanguageCert

An English exam where the emphasis is on the practice.

The LanguageCert examination, which is recognised in the Czech Republic and abroad, tests your ability to use language in real life. Meaning you don’t need to worry about the horrors of exceptions to the grammar rules, unrealistic examples, and sneaky tasks. The aim of this exam is not to catch you out, but to see how you get on in practice.

You can take LanguageCert examinations fully online from the comfort of your own home (OLP - online proctored). Simply book an exam with us. We then send you a voucher. You register, and choose the date and time of your exam from the long list of options on the international LanguageCert platform. The voucher is valid for 1 year. So you can take your time deciding when is right for you. If there’s something you’re unsure about, we’ll be happy to advise you and provide you with more information: about the price of your exam, for example.

  • Years of experience. Channel Crossings was the first accredited place in the Czech Republic where people could sit a LanguageCert exam. So we really do have a wealth of experience.

  • Split the exam to suit your needs There are 2 parts to a LanguageCert exam - oral (ISESOL) and written (IESOL). It’s up to you whether you want to do both parts at once, or perhaps one part now and the other in a year’s time. Perhaps at a different language level.
  • Even at the very last minute. You choose the date yourself. As soon as you have a voucher, you can register and find a slot. Even at the 11th hour.
  • Feedback You need to score at least 50% to pass the exam. If for some reason you don’t pass, you’ll at least get some feedback. So you’ll know which of your language skills you need to improve on next time.
  • Test the waters If you’re the stressed-out type, or if you just want to find out what the LanguageCert exam is actually like, you can try a dry run. On top of that, if you sign up for the real thing, we’ll deduct the price of the mock exam from the price of the real thing.
